Floral Instructor Career

Floral Instructor Texas When I changed my major at Texas A&M to Floriculture I did so because I had discovered I liked working with flowers. In the years since that providential decision I have worked as a floral designer in many capacities, as a salesperson for a flower grower and importer, as a salesperson for a floral wholesaler, and for the past 5 years as a floral instructor at San Antonio College.

I have discovered in my floral journey that “working with flowers” also means working with people that want and need flowers to honor and celebrate life’s special occasions. Teaching others that have discovered, as I did, that they like working with flowers and people has been an incredibly rewarding part of my wonderful career in floriculture. Teaching has been a way to pass on the knowledge and experiences I have accumulated in my varied roles in an amazing industry.
